INGREDIENTS
2 lbs ground beef
2 cans (1 lb each) tomatoes
2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz each)
1 whole jalapeño pepper for flavor (optional)
2 large chopped onions
2 chopped green peppers (optional)
3 tsp cumin
6 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1.5 tsp salt
1.5 tsp garlic
2 cans of pinto or kidney beans (1 lb each) drained
DIRECTIONS
- Brown the ground beef, onions and peppers. Stir in everything except beans, heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer. Cover and cook for 1 hr. Stir in beans and heat.
- Delicious with cornbread or saltine crackers. Also great to serve with shredded cheese and sour cream.
