Living your best life is about the choices you make every day, Make these three choices daily, and you will be on your way to better health, better relationships and a better world.
- Nourish your body. Without your health, nothing else matters. So give your body what it needs to thrive: more whole foods, more water, more exercise, and more rest.
- Love big. We are all on this planet to love. That is our purpose. Love yourself as you are, regardless of your imperfections. Love others enough to be kind, regardless of their behavior.
- Be the change. Gandhi famously said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” Do you want more harmony in the world? Let go of old grudges. More acceptance? Fire the judge in your head. More joy? Practice being grateful for all you have.
Bucket lists aren’t for when you retire. They’re for now. Here is how to cross a few things off yours.
- Dreamstorm. Set aside 30 minutes to write down everything you dream of doing. These can be things you dream of doing. These can be things you want to try, life experiences you want to have, or goals you want to achieve. No censoring. Write it all down.
- Choose three. Out of your (hopefully) long list, choose three things you would most like to do. Try picking one thing to try, one experience to have, and one goal to achieve.
- Take the first step. Always wanted to play guitar? Schedule a lesson. Dying to go spelunking? Plan a trip. Dreaming of that MBA? Research schools.
