“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard” Winnie the Pooh
We have such sadness in our hearts today as we laid to rest our sweetest old man, Dillon. What a delight of a dog he was for 15 1/2 years. He was the kindest, sweetest, loyal buddy you could ever want. Wonderful with dogs, cats, children, grandchildren and all folks. Pure delight he was.
Lap of Love came to our house to give him a peaceful death. They were magnificent. Dr. Jo was compassionate and patient as we said our goodbyes. She even shed a few tears. It really was a wonderful experience. It was only fitting for a beautiful animal that gave so much to us for so many years. Everyone that met him said he had a beautiful soul. I’m not sure what happens to pets when they pass, but I choose to believe we will see them again in heaven. After all dog spelled backwards is God. I believe God made them angels with fur. It won’t be easy and there will be such a void in our lives. After all, they are very close family members. Please hug on your fur babies extra hard today. We are so blessed to have them in our life!
